"I am endlessly inspired by nature, my work with ceramics and glass demonstrates the fragile and intricate qualities of the often-overlooked natural world around us. I find aesthetic beauty in flora and fauna, and wonder in the delicate balance of the ecosystems they form.

I have always had a passion and awareness for environmental issues. During my time at Plymouth College of Art and through my creative process, I delved deeper into the tragedies that face our planet. Global warming, marine pollution, deforestation and bee decline becoming the key issues that my work focuses around. The ambition of my craft is to inspire a consideration and care with the pieces I produce. In highlighting these problems, I want to show that if we all work together to put an end to harmful behaviours, there is hope for the future." - Alice Antliff
